Umm my car is totally fabricate from the clip back. These cars are LLM's lol where have you been? We just run leafs and maintain stock pick up points, including shocks. hey if anybody has scrapped a Camaro cause it got lapped it must have been scrap!!
there are some guys up sauble way that have success with crown vics i believe...
Is trucks to be the way of the future for the "B" type class to replace SS/Thunders? Like JWO said, they are plentiful, and have a stock style frame and clip. Do all the tracks need to introduce trucks to run with SS/Thunders and start a phase over? It seems like it could be the direction in the future if the goal is to stay away from full fabbed clips or unibody cars.
...any thoughts?
A truck is the only alternative and may be the only way to avoid the fabbed clip. I only seen 1 crown vic and c'mon comparing Sauble to Delaware? you might as well be comparing Humberstone to Daytona. We need relatively cheap and available formulas for the continuation of the sport. NO RACING is cheap but it's OUR sport! So the idea is maybe a distinct division with it's own identity and car...Spec car affordable and renewable, repeatable, and manageable.
You could say LLM but if I can use ebay and second LM stuff, I'm in. I'm just not into to wallet racing. What you have I should be able to have and what I have you should be able to have!!!
So what do we do? chop a truck to 108" WB? make a completely fabbed chassis? switch to almost non existant impala? we got about 14 cars that show up every week and I'm interested in everybodies opinion.
Rules meeting is on the horizon.
What about the engine rule for the Enduro Class. You have to use the motor that was an option for that make and year. That's the rule right now, but all you get is GM domination. I suggest that you have a Max engine size for each make. Ford 351, Dodge 360 and Chev 350. I know that's the rule for the SS division . The reason is maybe if you open up the rule you might get more diversity. I know for a fact that there are some guys not following the current rule. Just wondering what you guys think.
