the recaps tires that the super stocks run at sunset are a very long lasting tire.. in the pits last sunday i seen the wear that they get from a set. i do believe they get over a month out of a set..I realize
that the brand new pavement is also a factor on tire wear..

i basically ran all year on one set!

Each of the past two seasons I've gotten a full year at Flamboro on 2 sets of Hoosiers. This year we haven't run that well, but its got nothing to do with tires. Last year we ran 3 consecutive top 3 finishes on tires that were over 10 nights old when everyone told us you had to change them after 3 weeks. Now thats what I call durability and life.

I was up at sunset and this dude was rapping his recap with a 7" grinder. you could smell the smoke a mile away. I guess he was grinding sipes in the tire or shaving? dunnoo. Burbs the tires last longer at Flammy cause you run 20 or so Miles per hour slower and the corner speeds are higher. Generally we don't see real high tire temps at flammy as well. The only complaint I have about the Hoosiers is a lack of track time to condition them. Plus you pretty much have to run 2 sets to get started. That's what I think anyway.
My biggest concern to date is car construction. what are we going to do for building new cars? Trucks are ok cause there are literally millions around. Camaro's not so much!
Maybe we should consider a Fabbed chassis that would utilize Camaro geometry?

The LLM front frame is made to directly replace the stock F-car front frame that is slowly disappearing from salvage yards. Made with tough 2"x4" tubing main rails to retain the durability of a stock frame. Accepts stock lowers & steering, conventional springs and a 3rd design sway bar. Engine mounts are slotted for 0" to 1" of set back.  Inspection tags are welded to the top of the rails (shown in red).

Is this the way to go? LLM style ? With the Performance bodies? our own I dentity? 602 crate engine. retaining 7" tires. I'm throwing this out there because the reality of antiquity is going to bite us in the ass!!! Is using a fab clip really anything more than a time advantage? A clip is going to run you very close to the same many for prepped and repaired oem unit.
