The domination of GM in Enduro is simply cost/what handles. A 'factory' mild cam for a dodge is 305 more, flat top 'factory' are more money, brake pads alone are the cheapest difference. From my viewpoint, there's loads of non-GM cars possible for competitive runs, just the cost.
you kidding about the engine rule right? there was no such thing as a 350 in any GM G-body cars. Like I said a long time ago 305 or less exception dodge 318. Now that's an enduro class that would have been a wee bit more sensible
I was just trying to illustrate the fact that the rules as they stand are being stretched. The Monte Carlos after 78 only came standard with the 305. How many GM cars have a 350? For example there was a Buick Regal that showed up w a 350. I'm not sure but I thought Regals came in a 3.8 V6 Turbo. I suggest that limiting the engine rule to 305 or 318 would be better for a balanced class. But how would that fly w the 350 guys.
I'm all for that idea Thomson03, and we ran a 350 in a G-body. Since when did Vortec heads come in Camaros? Good suggestion.
in 84 GM made some Monte SS in Mexico, they came with a 350 and a 4 speed stick
