Looks like Delaware is pulling a play for the Humpy Wheeler hand book.
Just noticed on the Delaware Website in the 2008 Rules a new Rule Book for Chaos Cars?
Anyone have any idea what this class is?
could those be the four cylinders they're thinking of trying on a few select nights next year?
Lets just say that This thread might have just shown the positive influence that message board posters can have when they're not too busy having a public grumble-off.
;D
Stay tuned.
First off, I understand that racetracks are a business, that they are in the entertainment business, and that ultimately, at the end of the day, they have to turn a profit to stay in business. However...
This is in no way meant as a slag to any other racetrack or to the people who patronize them, but if I want to watch train races, etc. I know where to go (and do).
I have always considered Delaware a more 'serious' racetrack, with top-quality teams putting on a top-quality show, and that is one of the reasons I go there too.
It will be interesting to see what this new class is and if it impacts their reputation.

Hmm. The only beef I ever had with Delaware is that it DOES take itself too seriously. Nice to see that corner has been turned a little.
As far as its reputation, I hope it helps them get a bigger reputation as a fun place to take your family on Friday night.
BTW, The "top-quality teams putting on a top-quality show" aren't going anywhere.
