Exactly anyone who turns into someone at the start finish line has serious issues and needs to be dealt with accordingly at least a week off at minimum we just need the "officials" to stand up and make a call instead of turning a blind eye to this kind of driving before to many more cars are lost..

I think if you are given the black flag for antisocial behaviour then you shouldn't be allowed to get a lap back via the lucky dog.  However, if it was due to a mechanical problem then getting the lap back would be fair.  I believe these are the only two reasons a black flag is given so it would be easy to differentiate when a lucky dog could be used and when it couldn't.

Ya crazylady, thats a good point about the black flag and lucky dog thing. I drive the 7 truck and have been given the lucky dog once (in 3 years). I dont think you should get a lap back if you lost it earlier due to a penalty. Also, im pretty sure i know who gwb5757 is. Hope you have fun friday in the truck. Pretty sure i pitted beside you a few weeks ago.

The Black Rag is a valuable tool but it does present a host of issues. Under use leads to some pretty rough driving and over use... well it just takes away certain elements of racing. I can think of lots of situations in the past where it was misused and not used when it was down right inexcussable not to.

Just a couple of examples I'm thinking might be agreeable. NASCAR holds guys in pits as well as puts them to the rear depending on the situation.
Getting put the rear means your punished not lets see how many guys you spin before you get nailed. I'm not sure if corner marshalls have any say, but you sure can see alot in the corners.
I think the officials do owe the racers a small amount of assurance that aggressive (heavy damage causing) driving not be tolerated. Lets face I don't think there are to many big budget teams that can afford destroyed cars.
I think It's an appropiate tool and the penalties are necessary to maintain the quality of the show. However that being said I'm not usually too happy when we get one 😮
