Plus in the case of Sunset Super Stock, I'll put money that you will ONLY be allowed to run a full tube car ONLY IF it is a McColl. Which will make it McColl or stay home if you want to win.
Well the answer to this debate should be available tomorrow afternoon at the Sunset drivers meeting. I hope it doesn't happen and I think that Mark is starting to re-think the whole idea.
Yetti69 all I see is you taking shots at guys that want there car built as opposed to building it themselves. It's a lot easier to complain about guys spending more money that are beating you so rather then complain take the time to do your homework and go thro the car rather then come on here and b***h about the cost of a McColl chassis or about guys spending 5 grnd a year!!!!! I don't do this much but if you don't have anything constructive to say stay off the Delaware forums I for one am sick off hear you wine because you think people care when they don't!!!!!!
boooyah LUCAS OILS SPORTSMAN CUP!!! chassis $1500, repairs to chassis $1100, used 604 $3500, seat $600, belts $100....Run up at the front!!!!! the payouts are bitchin
??? Steve Smith at Delaware just missed out on winning the championship and it was NOT a McColl car, it was his car from last year all he did was rebody it. He did well with it 😮
Consider this, Jake's Camaro was easily $2600 for the chassis, no tin and not rolling. I did most of the work myself so I cant say what it would have been worth. The frame was jigged at CSC I did the rest. There was countless hours in this car and we put in good parts I figured it would have cost all together around $10,000 for turnkey. I'm not sure what mike would hit you for a turn car, but I will say if you don't have the money to buy one, you sure as all hell better have a winter to spend and a good shop to build one. So is what he's charging that out to lunch? not sure but I can say the SS division was about building your own car once upon a time. Getting a crate, a dirty ole Sag and shit load of used parts and you were in business.
My Camaro was built by Jake and Myself with some help form some pretty great guys. couldn't count the hours into but we loved every minute of it and the time we spent together is worth millions!!!! you can't buy that from Mike. I'm not putting Mike down or any of his customers, I DON"T beleive you need his car to win at Delaware. I do beleive if you want to run up front there and win you need talent. Now if Mike could bottle that and put a snazzy label on it there would be guys fighting over it 😉
