On Friday, May 31st the speedway is hosting the first invitational race of the season for Thundercar / Street Stock / Super Stock drivers.  As a result of some promotions which will be occurring around the event we are expecting a very strong fan attendance for this evening and we hope you are able to join us as well!  Last year the event was won by a visiting driver.

Please file the intent to compete so we can expect you, include you on the roster (along with your sponsors), and to have free event registration (which includes your transponder).

EVENT DATE & TIMES
• Friday, May 31, 2013
• Pit Gates Open: 4:30 pm
• Racing Begins: 7:30 pm

PIT GATE ADMISSION
Admission is $25 per person at back gate.

RACE REGISTRATION
• Delaware registered cars have no additional fees to compete in this event.
• Visiting drivers also have no additional fees to compete in this event provided they file an Intent to Compete through the track website or by contacting John Houghton (519) 652-5068 x 201.
• Drivers who are not registered or do not file an intent to compete are subject to a $20 race registration fee.

VEHICLE ELEGIBILITY
• Open to any street stock / super stock / thunder-type vehicle.
• Home track rules apply.

HEAT RACE PROCEDURE
• Drivers will draw for starting position and be seeded into one of two 10-lap heat race qualifiers.
• The finish from the heat races shall determine the starting lineup for the main event.  Heat #1 will fill the inside row in the order of finish, heat two will fill the outside row in the order of finish.

RACE PROCEDURES
• The event shall be run in two 35-lap segments (but considered to be a single 70-lap race)
o First 35-laps shall be set from heat races.
o Second 35-laps shall resume using the running order from the first 35-laps with a one dice inversion (1-6 positions).
• “Free Pass”: on a caution flag the first vehicle at least one lap down that was not involved in the caution shall receive one lap back.

RACE POINTS
• 50 show-up points will be awarded to registered drivers.
• The event does not count towards drivers 3-week handicapping averages.
