As far as electric fans go, why not? They work, and I like them and yah they are much safer with your head under the hood. As far as performance advantage goes if everybody has it advantage is gone. Pretty simple math. and hey if were going to rip around at these speeds and not use a quality rim you might as well just use stock seatbelts as well. You don't like the cost of safety? try lawn bowling
Oh yah yah just need a backspace rule, stock is 3<>3-1/2"

how are things in the east...

Been talking to my brother at home and he has herd through the racing world ( gossip post)  that the rules are being amended to take in some suggestions??? any truth to this because if so what a wonderful thing to have open and effective communication...it was never that way 15 years ago...

plan is to be home in august and look forward to heading out to the track to see some old friends, meet knew ones, and enjoy the racing ..

thanks to all of the dedicated racers who spend too  much money forthe fans enjoyment..

anyone going to daytona that could post some news on all of the happenings here for us who are knee deep in snow??

Anyone from Delaware going to compete, and or work down there for speedweeks??
happy new year to all, and may you all enjoy the success that you deserve.

Steve

Powell Racing will be there with Cole Powell and expect to be super fast. Cars are just about ready.

I noticed the revised rules are up on the website. At least for the Super Stocks. Personally, it seems that we as the racers were heard with our concerns and changes were made. What a great approach. To all that had input into the process, good job. Personaly, some suggestions we made were changed, some were not. That to me is expected. My thanks go to the delaware management and tech team for taking the time to listen to our concerns and making the changes they felt made sense. A great start to the communication lines for 2011. Now lets get the cars done & go racing in another 3 months. Or at least practising I guess.

would just like to note that i have factory steel wheels with backspacing ranging from 2.25 to 4.25 the biggest difference is the availability of decent stock rims most of what ive been able to find for decent rallys are as much or more than aeros or bassetts for something im gonna have to replace more often

not sayin just sayin

as far as slowing things i would say the weight rules will make the biggest difference little things dont hurt nearly as much as 52% lsw rims are more safety than performance in the big scheme of things like always give us a little take a little
