Regular program and Street Stock Invitational highlights Sunday’s event at Cornwall Motor Speedway!
Cornwall, Ont –Wednesday, May 25, 2016 – Martin Bélanger – After two special Sunday evenings, Cornwall Motor Speedway will host a regular show for this Sunday even with a 6th category on hand with a Street-Stock invitational as Jim’s Performance Plus will be the nightly sponsor.
A special night for the fans of 8 cylinders vehicles as a Street Stock Invitational is on the schedule with a 25-lap event, rules were simplified for them with weight limit established at 3,350 pounds. The winner’s share will be $300.
In the Bandit Motorsports Modified division, local drivers will earn back the spotlight in the 30-lap event scheduled for them, with his great 4th place finish last week, Kyle Dingwall as jumped to third in the points being 12 points behind current leader in Carey Terrance.
Another great battle is shaping up in the Tracy Wheeler Storm Realty Sportsman division as only 2 points separates the winners of the first weeks in Shane Pecore and Tyler Givogue. Both drivers seems to be in control of their situation in this early start.
The Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock division has probably provided the best racing so far after two events as several great battles and a lot of respect between drivers on the speedway enabled quality racing. A 20-lap feature is on tap for the full fender division.
The new Polar Sound DJ Services Novice Sportsman have shown some great potential last week with a total of 11 competitors on hand, they were able to run for 14 consecutive laps before a caution. We are expecting great things in this class during the next summer.
Veteran driver Bob Ray showed last Sunday that he will be one of the contenders in the Polar Sound DJ Services Mini-Stock divisions, his main competition will come from Marc Dagenais and Mike Gaucher.
The pit gates will open at 4pm and costs will be 25$ in the pit area. General admission will open its doors at 5pm and costs will be $13 for adults, 7$ for seniors and only 2$ for 16 years old and younger. The first heat will be run at 7pm sharp.
