osco Garreau and Jocelyn Roy splits round 1 of the Ultimate Pro-Stock Series!
Cornwall, Ontario – Tuesday, May 5, 2015, Martin Bélanger, Ultimate Pro-Stock Series Coordinator – The ice is now broken for the new Ultimate Pro-Stock Series as the first event was held this past Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway.
In the first Ultimate Pro-Stock Series race, George Renaud was the early leader with Dave Bissonnette getting closer to the leader as Guy Viens running strong in third. A caution on lap 8 mixed up the lead with Bissonnette taking the lead over Renaud with Stephane Lemire now in third at the halfway point. Rosco Garreau had the strongest car in the last portion making his way to the front passing Bissonnette with 5 to go with Valade following suit while Bissonnette fading to fourth. Garreau left the final laps to win his first ever race of Renaud and Valade completing the top 3.
In the second Ultimate Pro-Stock Series Race, Claude Parisien took the lead in the first 2 laps and build a good lead over the field as Stephane Lemire was running in second. Parisien had a really good run until Lemire was able to pass him on lap 16 with Jocelyn Roy joining the leader pack and racing side by side for the final laps, Roy used the top side to pass Lemire and win the second race.
The series will now head to the province of Quebec in early June with stops at Autodrome Granby and RPM Speedway on Friday, June 5th and Saturday, June 6th, twin 25-lap features will be run on each night.
