Mother Nature forces several changes to the calendar at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Wednesday July 1, 2015 – Martin Bélanger – Mother Nature is not on our side for 2015! With inclement weather a third cancellation in a row with Canada Day Extravaganza taken away by rain. These several cancellations will have an impact on the schedule with many changes to be done in the coming weeks, here are the details!

On this coming Sunday, July 5th, the 2nd round of the Bandit Motorsports Sportsman Challenge will be run with a reduced event as a 50-lap race will be completed with $1,000 to win and a purse similar to a DIRTcar Series. The Mini-Stock division will have their Danny Lefebvre Memorial 25 event with a 25-lap feature event with a big purse and bonus money. The autograph and photo session will be done at intermission time as the other divisions will have a complete program. Admission price will be 15$ for general admission, the title sponsor will now be Twin Leaf Stores.

On Sunday, July 12th, the 2nd race in Bandit Motorsports Canadian Nationals will be done with a 100-lap Modified feature race along with the Super Series Starter, making this race very important. A complete program plus the Sportsman Dash will done as planned. Co-Op Embrun Dekalb will sponsor the evening as admission price will now be $20 in general admission.

Rutters Elevators will be the main sponsor for the visit of the Patriot Sprint on July 19 but no changes in the racing schedule for the remainder of July.

Archer’s Poultry and Bank of Montreal will support one of the biggest event of the year on Sunday, August 2nd as the 3rd round of the Bandit Motorsports Canadian Nationals will be run with a 150-lap feature race for the Modified along with the visit of the Go Nuclear Late Model Series, a complete program as the Pro-Stock will now have the night off. Admission price has been set to 30$ for that evening.

A new schedule was created for Seaway GM night on Sunday, August 23 with the makeup date for the annual visit of the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Series with a 100-lap Modified event. Already part of that schedule on that evening, the Patriot Sprint will be there along with the Lussier-Seaway Sportsman Series race as the Vintage category will complete a very busy evening. General Admission pricing was set to 35$ for that spectacular event.

With the addition of two nights off for the Pro-Stock, a special 35-lap race will be run on Sunday, August 30th.

Several changes have been completed to make sure to include most of the different series event. Hopefully Mother Nature will let us race as the remainder of the schedule is quite spectacular until the end of the season!
