Empire Super Sprints are returning to Cornwall Motor Speedway this Sunday!
Cornwall, Ont –Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 – Martin Bélanger – Sprint Car fans are anxious as they are awaiting the return of the Empire Super Sprints group at Cornwall, they will be back after an 8 year hiatus! A complete race program is also on the schedule.
The American association will make a return to Cornwall after an 8-year absence in which will mark the opening of the Canadian championship for the association that will have visited Granby and Drummondville over the weekend. With three tracks visited in the same region, we can expect a great field of cars including the current point’s leader Jason Barney, Steve Poirier, Paul Kinney, Parker Evans, Matt Tanner, George Suprick, Dave Axton, Jeff Cook and possibly one of the top Sprint 360 driver in Mark Smith. Joining the group will be local standout Lee Ladouceur along with a group of Quebec drivers in Alain Bergeron, Yan Bilodeau, Dale Gosselin and Jordan Poirier. Eastern and Western Ontario should be represented as well as we expect more than 20 cars for this 25-lap event.
Another crucial night for our regular divisions with all five of them in action for regular features including 30 laps for the Bandit Motorsports Modified, 25 laps for the Tracy Wheeler Storm Realty Sportsman, 20 laps for the Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock, 15 laps for the Polar Sound DJ Services Novice Sportsman and 12 laps for the Polar Sound DJ Services Mini-Stock.
The pit gates will open at 4pm and costs will be 35$ in the pit area. General admission will open its doors at 5pm and costs will be $25 for adults, 13$ for seniors and only 2$ for 16 years old and younger. The first heat will be run at 7pm sharp.
