what is confusing is that the track website today says the truck race has been rescheduled from July 11 to July 25 due to weather. I thought per the english translation of the message from the truck club that they had said no. They must have agreed in the meantime to running on the 25th. As I posted on another board, this truck group is not known outside of Ontario. It get's more puzzling by the minute

I was there...

15 cars...Not so good, but considering this passport business and the fact that the series raced ar Stafford on Tuesday and Oswego had the King of the Wings show last night,I was'nt shocked.I hope they can get more for the 2 day show at Delaware in a month!

Mark Sammut won.It was a popular victory, for obvious reasons. There were a couple of banzai moves going onto the 1st turn, one involved Sammut putting two wheels onto the grass.Chris Perley was a non-factor in the race, although he checked out in his heat.

The crowd was sparse. And for many reasons, that was'nt shocking at all.

It;s too bad because the facility for racing is fairly good.We can only hope that things change at Cayuga in the future, particularily for this open wheel fan, because I would have loved to have seen what they had originally planned for this weekend to come off.

Watson Roadster thanks for the posting on todays event at Cayuga. You are right hope ISMA brings more cars to Delaware especially a 2 day show.As for reasons yes they raced 2 shows last week but the main issue here is the passport issue.Hope Delaware contacts ISMA to see how many cars will be there because a small turnout could leave a sour taste in racefans especially with the cost for the fan to get into this 2 day show.Would suggest to look at Delaware site as they have a weekend special (addmission) for this show that will save the racefan some money. They also have single day specials also if purchased before July 31/09.
