Here is what I have heard from a good source. Cayuga is having Race of Champions on Sunday August 23 and also talk about a Race of Legends the Saturday night before with Legend Drivers Cale Yarborough, Harry Gant and couple of others. They are still working out the details.

"Following the autograph session, the drivers depart to the pit area for their first meeting with the regular drivers and owners of the cars they will pilot. The Race Of Champions competition director serves as a liaison between the Sprint Cup drivers and the regular drivers, checking the cars for safety and making sure that all parties are comfortable with the cars. The Sprint Cup stars go through a five-lap practice session after being fitted in their cars and then run a feature event usually consisting of two 8-lap races."
You would have to be pretty desperate to go to Cayuga for a day for that � ??? This program is supposed to work with a regular racing series.
Also Cayuga has been working out the "details" forever.
guess what I find confusing is most racing fans know the name "Race of Champions" as an Asphalt mod tour that the Harpells run in NY and PA. What kind of cars were being considered for Cayuga's ROC????
If they have it, it willl be the day after a long hard fought battle in Bristol.
