Unfortunately the hype about the visiting cars was just type. The 14 starters for the $5000 to win 100 lap LM race included 1 out of town LM, 2 locals who run LLM at Kawartha and a road racer trying ovals for the first time in an old cascar sportsman.That being said when the top five are running nose to tail it makes for an exciting race. Waste Management who sponsored the monster jam II could be happy that Sean Kennedy took the early lead but the handle went away.As usual Steve Munro showed he can race by taking to the outside to eventually take the lead. Unfortunately cautions kept letting track champion Ricky Rump up beside him but each time Steve pulled ahead. Now Spencer Mcpherson was involved in an incident and went to the pits during a caution. Given the pit setup cars are allowed 2 grace laps to return to the track and maintain position on the lead lap at the rear. So Spencer had nothing to lose in position but now one assumes he has new rubber. Getting up to third puts him behind Munro on the restart. With Rump on old tires Spencer is able to take second, but can he pass Steve? Well he never attempted to go on the outside. Instead, on the white flag lap, he punts Steve right between turns 3 and 4, causing Steve to careen into the infield, crossing the start finish behind Mcpherson and Rump.

Yeah, I know. They see it in Nextel Cup, they see it in Busch (esp. Montreal), they see it in NCATS (esp. this summer), and then the kids try it at home at the local speedway. I guess you could say that society is to blame ;). Or maybe its all Dale Earnhardt Sr's fault. But I still think they should have disqualified the kid. The fans got it right when they booed him. And thats coming from someone who likes him. I like close racing. A little bump and grind is OK. But that was dont pass 'em, crash 'em. He should apologize.

Chuckled at the one email to Arnie that said Spencer was making a pass on the inside when he got into Steve.
