At a news conference held at his restraurant in Montreal, JV had his old IndyCar owner Barry Green with him to announce their partnership to get sponsorship for a fulltime ride in Cup or Nationwide. It was reported that JV told Green he loves the whole Nascar scene and wants to continue in a financially stable situation. That he felt he could have ran a few more weeks but without a major sponsor things would have been strained and eventually his season cut short, which is not what he wants. Bill Davis Racing could still be involved in his return to Nascar, as Green likes that organization and they run Toyotas. JV still plans to run the 24hrs at Le Mans for Peugeot in June.
