personally i think that waltrips bristol hit was harder than gordons at vegas, after the hit waltrips car stopped, gordons spun with a fair amount of force after the hit still displacing kinetic energy. the harmon accident at bristol was scary. last point, anyone think the mcdowell accident does not happen if it was not the cot?

If you were watching speed today you would hear Kyle Petty say it wasn't a big crash that he though Gordon's was a harder crash and he gave credit to a lot of things not just the COT.

So it really depends who you hear it from but what I made of it all is NASCAR is continuing to try improve the safety in their sport and that is a good thing.

I the old days the crew took the cars home after a wreck like that but now NASCAR takes the car to look at it and see what needs to be improved on.
