a few months ago there was a thread removed with regards to drug use and racing because some believed it was not a problem. to two of you i ask that you go to speed and nascar's websites and check out the latest headlines. that would be you pinecrest and evan/cro. sticking our head in the sand does not help as nascar is now finding out. peace out.

Due to the constraints of the CoC and that i do not wish to be sued i have to be careful what i say here . I have known drivers over the years that smoked pot and liked to do rails but not that many . Alcohol abuse has always been a far bigger problem . Barrie Speedway had a famous Late Model driver that for years was known for being half in the bag on a fairly regular basis .

Yes Hill and if I remember it was targeted at a guy and no officials from the series had came out and released any infomation so that was a personal attack on someone. I never said no one uses or doesn't use Drugs or Alcohol. I can't have people going on about a person doing this unless the series or track releases a statement as it is he said she said that is not good enough to drag someone through the mud.

How would you like it if someone said he saw you doing something like that and posted here and it wasn't true or it was true? It is a touchy area. I do think race drivers here should do random testing as we would hate to hear a release that someone is doing it and how it would hurt racing in Canada.

This would be a good topic for Sunday night chat I could talk a little more about this and we could get others take on it.
