I totally agree I find what he is doing as a great accomplishment as well and could not be prouder of him for what he has and is doing.
But it kind of drives me crazy that everyone always say's (and not only on this post or about DJ) if only the cup guys and teams were not there.
The point is they are there they do race in the series and I truly believe if you ask DJ hey how cool is it to drive against Kenseth and Dale Jr he would say it is the greatest thing he has ever done.
Now that being said ask him if he has the same thrill racing against Brad Baker I am sure you will find out not the same thrill.

The cup guys are in the Nationwide series so the points are determined with them there.

How are you comparing apples to apples?
The Braun Toyota team is really well funded so do you take them out of the equasion as well?
I really don't see how you can compare apples to apples I think you would be hard pressed to find a team that has less financial backing then the team DJ drives for is.

That being said he is doing a great job we all need to be proud of what he is doing.

Not only is it really cool to race with the cup guys, but they are also field fillers.
Even with the cup guys, they only started 42 cars in California.

We both agree that DJ should be proud of his accomplishments considering his team’s limited resources.  There are many variables when comparing, and the Braun rides are definitely at the other end of the spectrum I would expect, financially, as a multi-car team, and in terms of connections within the industry.  My point was to simply give him his credit due within a comparable context.  (ie: non-Cup regulars)

The whole beating of the dead horse issue around Cup regulars in the Nationwide series was not my intent…I wasn’t going there.  And yes, they are in the points race too.
No doubt DJ must be thrilled to compete in the same races with the likes of Kenseth and Earnhardt Jr.

Anyway, …hope he makes the show, and continues to be successful this weekend.
