SUMMER SLAM $10,000 TO WIN ENDURO

Presented by Brighton Speedway & Brighton Recycling

Brighton Speedway teams up with Brighton Recycling for the First Ever $10,000 to Win Summer Slam Enduro!

Brighton Speedway Management is in the mix of finalizing its 2012 schedule but just could not wait to make this exciting announcement!  On August 26th, 2012 Brighton Speedway and Brighton Recycling will host the first ever Brighton Recycling $10,000.00 win Summer Slam 250 lap Endurance Race.  The event will be part of the 2012 Hotch's Auto Parts Enduro Series, a standalone 250 lap enduro that boasts an overall $15,000.00 purse and is expected to draw a huge turnout of participants and fans to watch this first time event.

The hitch for competitors will be that the Speedway will keep every car at the end of the race.  The purpose behind this new style race is to keep the high dollar "race cars" cars from entering an enduro and making it a race that any one has a chance to win!

"We expect competitors to go out and purchase a $200 - $400 junker and come race for fun and a chance at the money.  The drivers will need to pay a $100.00 entry fee, so for $500.00 or less competitors will have an approximately 1 in 100 chance of winning 10 GRAND, which is pretty good odds by any lottery out there these days, and they get to have GREAT FUN racing around a track doing it!" states track promoter Mark Rinaldi.  Any safety equipment installed and the cars battery will remain property of the competitor and he will be allowed to remove it.

"We would like to see 100 or more cars" continues Rinaldi, "we routinely get between 50 and 70 for existing enduro’s and have seen up to 120 cars in a race in years gone past."  Registration will be capped at a number to be determined shortly.  A revised set of enduro rules and race procedures will be developed specifically for this high stakes event and drivers starting positions will be determined by their entry date.

The Speedway is also adding a way for drivers to help themselves ensure a good starting spot as well!  The top 25 starting spots will be reserved for the top 10 finishers in the February 11th Winterfest Ice Enduro, the June 17th Fathers Day Enduro and the top 5 finishers in July 21st 30 lap Mini Enduro. Each of these races will be considered qualifying events for the Brighton Recycling Summer Slam Event.  "Starting close to the front in these big enduro's is key" says Bernie Rhebergen, a winner of many Brighton Speedway enduro's, " There is just so much action on the track with that many cars and often you can get a lap or two in before the back cars even get moving".

Complete details will be available shortly at www.brightonspeedway.com however for drivers to get a head start and an early chance to qualify they can sign up now for the February 11th Winterfest Ice Enduro.  Registration forms are on line or can be found at the speedway office.  For information about these exciting events or anything Brighton Speedway visit www.brightonspeedway.com or email info@brightonspeedway.com
