Late Models Roar into Brighton Speedway this Week!

The Roar of 700 HP Super Late Models makes much anticipated their return to Brighton Speedway this week as Kerr Construction and John's Equipment present the Ontario Dirt Late Models.  Its been 1 year since there last visit and drivers and fans alike have been talking about the awesome powered dirt flinging full fendered machines.

More than 20 cars are expected on hand to contend for the $2,000.00 to win event including 2008 ODLM champion Greg Oakes (Franklinville, NY) will be on hand to try and defend winning his second straight ODLM title.  Greg has been dubbed him Mr. Consistent, for his smooth driving style and consistent finishes in the top 3.  Greg comes in to the race 21 points ahead of Chris Ross (Wallaceburg, ON) a strong runner who has been racing frequently in Ohio.  Chris Ross is being tailed in the points by 8, another US driver John Lobb. (Frewsburg, NY).  John is leading the Rookie points over Adam West by 27 points.  Adam West, (Ridgetown) aka "Batman" sits 4th in total points and 2nd in rookie points. Adam just barely missed winning his second SOS -Southern Ontario Sprint title just two weeks ago and arguably has the most track time at the Brighton Speedway over the rest of the ODLM field.

Of note other drivers that may be in attendance with Brighton Speedway history:

Tim Kerr  - from Picton is said to have a ride in the Lee Gill late Model from Can Am.  Both Tim and Lee have many laps around Brighton, Tim in his Canadian Modified that is now driven by Charlie Sandercock and Lee Gill raced and won more than once at the Brighton Speedway during the days of the old Can Am Late Model Challenge Between Brighton, Can Am and South Buxton.
Kirk Hooker - from Chattam Ontario is hopeful to attend depending on current work conditions.  Kirk as well competed at Brighton many times during the Can Am Challenge with numerous wins and a series title under his belt.
Jeff Dayman - has not only competed in ODLM competition at Brighton Speedway in 2008 but also has many races under his belt including a win in Street Stock Completion at Brighton.  Jeff won the 50 lap Duel in the Dirt event and Series at Brighton in 2007.
