it's ok Dave about the pizza giveaway. Just as long as Dave Bradley gets the run down on it next week I am cool with it. Dad wanted me to razz you about it...lol, but i won't. I am sure it was a busier night for you making sure things went well up in the booth with Dave Bradley not in attendance.
Thanks Gary for the props. Everyone keeps telling me what an amazing job I am doing so early in the season. It's just real frusterating not getting the results that the car and the driver deserves.....I guess pigs can fly now cause dad says I am better then he is in that car just from watching what I can do in it. Never thought I'd hear that in a million years. So Ill take that as the best compliment a driver can get.
I agree was nice to see Devan running strong. He and Tia are such awesome people. The intake really helped his car down the chute. Hope it helps us just as much next week.
I also agree that the lapped cars should be getting the heck outta the way when the leaders are coming, especially with a couple laps to go. Sad to see a race decided that way. With 2 to go I was in 4th, but got stuck behind one and ended up 6th.
Green white checkered for sure. no finishing under caution. Give at least one attempt at it whether the white was in the air or not. Excitement draws crowds.
broken input shaft in transmission was reason for parking car in first feature, had offer to borrow one from dave lewis, but not right ratio so would of had to park it after two laps. as far as #69,i realize he was mad but seen as mike was admitting it was his fault,he could of been a little easier on him. we all have made mistakes on the track and will continue to do so, when some one is manning up to it you should not discourage the person. i have only talked to mike a couple of times but seems like a real nice guy, that car is fast and he will only get better every week. see you saturday dave.
al is a good guy and i'm sure that he has cooled down and everything will be fine. stuff happens and al is a class act. nice to see someone take responsibility and apologize too. keep learning young grasshopper, there's some guys that have been out there 20+ years and still can't drive. you'll figure it out! ::)
The LLM racing this year has been insane. 10 cars is about 4 short of a decent field, but the racing has been indicitive of parity. There 5 or 6 cars who are basically the same speed and every race they have are awesome thus far. The weekend before last was crazy with 5 of them swapping spots on the last lap!
And I am sure al was approached too soon after. Mikey, give him a breather first then go over next time.
It was the last race of the night so I don't think I could give him enough time to cool off. Plus, I had to get myself and two friends back down to Hamilton so I didn't want to wait too long, it's a long drive after a long day. I just don't like putting things off, especially apologizing. Lesson learned.
