I don't know but it seems that some people are really taking things way too seriously this year. I know Dan and I know he is a better person than to get into that kind of stuff Terri-Lynne, but yes that is very poor sportmanship.

Maybe some people are getting frustrated. More cars, faster cars, who knows... But for a class that usually runs with very few or no cautions, it isn't that way this year. I thought the new season crashing business would wear off...  ??? (and I'm not referring specifically to anyone BTW)

I thought the rule at BSW was if you went to another pit other than your own, and started something, then there would be consequences for the actions of the driver or the crew. No one has the right to damage someone elses property regardless of what happens on the track. For another driver or crew member to go and damage another drivers car, a suspension of some kind should be in order. This is the only to get the message out that BS in the pits will not be tollerated. Lets not have repeats in the pits of last year and someone gets hurt again.....

I agree 100% on this.

Someone also mentioned in the heat of the moment. Yes this does happen usually with the drivers on the track but it was a crew member in the pits. the crew members can have emotions but there is rules in place to not have this happen. I can see if he got in the drivers face and said a few words but to kick his car? Yes it is up to the series to do something about it or teams will think it is OK to do this.

"8. The driver assumes the responsibility for the actions of his/her pit crew. This also applies to their FAMILY MEMBERS and FRIENDS who attend the races and subject officials to abuse."

When they say officals are they just talking about the staff, because i didn't see any rules about abuse to other cars or drivers, but there is a sign in the tech shed that says something about it.

I'm pretty sure my dad is going to bring it up at the drivers meeting on Saturday, like he's not going to mention any names cause the driver should know who he is because i'm sure his crew member told him or someone else at the track did. He's not happy and he doesn't enjoy getting pushed around, he knows that bumping on the track is a part of racing and if he thinks he did anything wrong he's at your pit apoligizing. So if he did do anything wrong I'm sure after he sees the video of the race (hopefully it shows it, and if we get to see it cause we dont get it up here) he will be over at the pit apoligizing to the driver for the accident and i hope the member of the crew apoligizes to.

Heat of the moment or not I still think it was pretty low. If you have a problem with my dad go talk to him he's not going to hurt you, he's really not the agressive type.

Crew members can look at an incident all they want, but they shouldn't even consider getting mad and all that until the driver comes in and says what he thinks. I have had times where someone I know is mad because someone bumped me, and I'll say "Well, it didn't see him and pinched him down accidentally." Usually, only the drivers know what happened, so they should be the ones sorting it out.
