If Jason Wity moves to Barrie to run down Tom that would be a coo for BSW as he is the up and comming new hot shoe and that would add fans for sure but you actually think Tom adds 600 fans a night sorry can't see it. If that was the case promoters would be paying him to show up that would make their night successful just don't see it.

Actually wattie i think glen lloyd did a comparison of attendance when walters was not at sunset racing and when he was there racing full time and he did find that his fan count was considerably higher when walters was racing there full time. And yes i do agree with you that jason witty is an up and comer to watch.

Well WATTIE I dont think my estimation of how many fans appear to watch Walters race is off base at all. He is a name known to even the casual fan in Barrie, and GTA area as a whole!!!! And it is those fans who make a decision on their chosen race venue on where he might be racing that particular night. Add to that the # of race fans that follow Tommy around and attend each and every week, and I dont think 500 fans on reasonable weather nights is off base at all. And as far as me ever saying 10 000 fans at the NCATS race in Sept of 07 at Barrie well that just never happened, so please in the future dont elect to put words in my mouth!!!!! For the record I'd say more in the 7500-8000 range were in attendance for that race. And as far as your point of the car count going down where Tommy races????? Well that one doesnt really wash either!!! In 2004 when Walters made the move to Barrie the car count was in the 14-16 car range. Now sure McLeod left early into that season because of Walters, so I'll give you that point. But my point is that in the next season Barrie's count increased to 18-19 cars and Walters was there the entire season and in fact won the championship. That was one of the best fields assembled to date to compete against him and included names like Gaunt, Tim Watson, Darin Malcolm, Dwayne Baker, and Ian Bourque among others. Watson, Malcolm, and Bourque were all returning to the LLM division that year, and they elected to race where Walters competed, so my point is they didnt let it scare them off, and Barrie's count increased because of it.
