Not trying to be sour about the track canceling but what were they thinking. You want your drivers to stay and then you pull this. Really makes me think if I made the right choice on where to race. Now if it rains good call but I seensome radar here at work and it's starting to Break up outside of Toronto, so if no rain bad call.
all i know is that i was willing to drive up from hamilton even with the weather forecast and would have been fine if it was cancelled at the 11th hour, as long as they gave it a chance. right now, I am not too pleased.
With all due respect to Barrie drivers and fans, and without trying to stir up the debate, you now must understand why as fans the southside is looking sweet! It may rain, it may not but calling that early is unnecessary. Especial on the grand opening night at the "hyped" track. This is why it's so hard to make positive comments on the thread that was posted yesterday!
I too agree that it was a bad call....If they would have tried to race and it rained and they had to call it when everybody was there then most people would have been ok with the fact that the Speedway was trying there best to get racing in. Seems like every time there is a possibility for rain the Speedway calls it much too early. I dont have lot's of money but would have gladly put the gas in the truck to make the trip whether it rained or it didn't. Hopefully somebody from the speedway is reading what we are saying and hopefully next time they will try to hold off as long as they can.
I know this gives more reason to those who are bashing the Speedway but we can all still try to stay positive and work through some of this nonsense
I get what you're saying about staying positive etc. but my money goes to the best show...period! I don't have free income to throw around so "entertainment" business's need to fight for my buck!
