Well with things being kinda dormant on the Barrie side of things I thought it would be a good time to get some race related chatter goin. I'm pretty excited to see the Twin 40's for LLM this week, as well as the extended features for the other divisions. If memory serves last years winners were #2 "Hometown" Mike Brown and #10 Gordie Shepherd. The 2nd 40 really stands out about last year as it was Shepherd's first LLM feature win at Barrie and featured a great duel with Gordie and Darin Malcolm at the end. What a year is been for Shpeherd since then, including another win later that year, a 2nd at Fall Colors, and the season opening win this year and progressing to the point where hes now a solid title contender in everyones eyes. Also if memory serves this particular weekend provided some of the best racing action of last year in LLM so lets hope our talented LLM field this year can duplicate that. In Thunders, with a 50 on tap it got me to wondering who won the 50's last year. I know Lidstone won Mid Season, Davey won the season ender, and I think Doucette notched a 50 in there as well. Now Lidstone is not running this year but I would expect the other two to be right there in this one. Tremblay has been a bullet all year so I will personally pick him. Ok I guess I will make my picks for LLM as well, and I'll take Brown for the first one. He should be starting near the front with a fast car. And for the 2nd one will take a bit of a flyer that Rob Inglis gets his first Barrie feature win. I just think that team has been working pretty hard of late and that hard work will pay off sooner rather than later. For Pure Stocks I'll take Bryan Penny and Billy Melenhorst for Chargers. What are your guys predictions for the feature races this week???? Last I heard there's about a 60 % chance of rain on Sat so lets hope we get them in. Now this got me to thinkin that with these few rain outs we've had already will the track think about adding a few Sunday dates to make up the lost races?? I know it helps the LLM guys obtain better standings in the NASCAR WHELEN points so it might make sense. Also you might see a few of the cars from the south end of Simcoe County come up to give Barrie a try. I know the Sunset LLM have 2 off nights when OSCAAR's there, so if you added a couple Sunday dates throughout the remainder of the season some of these drivers might feel it is then worth the Nascar membership if they can get 3 or 4 runs at Barrie in. What do you guys think??? Would the majority of the Barrie regulars show up at least for Sunday racing??? Now I do realize there would have to be ample notice but do you think this idea might fly???

I think if it is a points race it will be tough to do because u can't get parts on weekends! But if the car was good to go we and i am sure everyone else would be there!
