I wouldn't blame the 84 in this one..

I wasn't necessarily blaming him, just saying it was him right behind in the pics... And I asked 99 what happened, he simply just said someone hit him.. that's all.. Trying to put the pieces together on that one too....

From where I was sitting, in the main grandstand, it looked as though it was the 1 car that hit the 99.

The 1 took a pretty hard hook to the wall, maybe something broke in the front end, but now I'm just speculating.

I am just going by what the 99 himself told me. It is hard to judge what happens when in the stands. There have been plenty of times where I thought something had happened but was told differently by the drivers, not saying your incorrect by any means, but the 99 said someone hit him, which brought him into Joe. Now I didn't see the accident, you did, I can only go by what the drivers tell me..... Maybe it did happen the way you mentioned. Sometimes things happen so quick and even the driver may not know exactly everything. Just a wierd one to figure out, but incredibly hard accident.

um well apparently I've offended some folks, but hey you can't please them all,  and Steeve I was reffering to other times (more then once) I've seen you "Disscussing" some matter or another, not ridiculing you I do believe you've come very far from when you started!! and yes I've watched  As for the issues with the 8 car I never seen you over there at all! Thayne I understand where you're coming from and I will try to be not so abrasive but the truth is the truth, Joe tries very hard and has lots of determination I just believe it's misguided as most of us have been at some point,  the first rule in racing should be, be as safe as you can be and go from there, it's a dangerous sport if you try and cut corners on stuff it's going to bite you in the behind!!  I've worked on cars for along time now and that's one of my biggest things is safety!!!  have the best available equipment you can afford, you can find good used safety equipment pretty cheap if you need to!!! for the last 4-5 yrs  every friday or saturday night I've helped a few of my friends climb into a race car and it's nice piece of mind to know that the car is as safe as it can be!!! sometimes this means taking longer to get the car finished then we wanted too, remember guys this is a hobby for us all and we need to work on Monday to afford it!! again speedy recovery Joe, best of luck!!

There is the bottom line. No job (race) has priority over safety. Cutting corners will cut back and nobody wants or needs that. Wishing speedy healing to any and all who've been injured this season. Hopefully there will be no more.

Absolutely! Hopefully they are all back to 100% soon. I remember my first time on the track and Luke Gignac was giving me pointers...i ahd never had the harness's on befoie and i asked him...how tight should they be....he said do them as tight as i could and then once i hit the wall i will realise how tight they REALLY need to be...lol...and boy was he right...second night out i spanke the wall and boom....two beautiful bruises..lol...now they are very tight...wise words from the big man! lol
