i bought a set of gears for like 300 shipped...they aren't that bad...i think their retail was 175.
thunder6 im pretty sure delaware rules are quite a bit different if you actually read them, not really close at all. as for the gears dont buy any it wont help you anyway, gears dont matter when sitting in the stands.....
My point was that Sunset and Delaware cars are now a lot closer to each other than they were before, equipment wise...
I only sit in the stands when I'm not working on the race cars. It seems to me you sit in the stands when you're not painting race cars...

That's just the R&P... A complete gear (ready to swap in) is about $1000.
If you want to mess around swapping gears with only one 9" carrier then fine, have atter...
I'm pretty sure Reyns ran his Kawartha gearing when he came up for the Thunder Car Nationals at the end of 2008.. He finished in the top 10 for all 3 50 lap segments as well.. And I dont think "The Deuce" changed gears from Sat night at BSW to run The Sizzler this year where he came 4th.. Probably the same applied in 2008 Sizzler edition where he came 3rd.. Just proves it might be a nice luxury to change gears, but it isnt a necessity to run competitively at either place. Although a Barrie car might want them more so for Kawartha than the reverse based solely on track size.. But heck what do I know??LOL
Sorry Blkglagagain but Dave did change the gears to run at Kawartha. We had to in order to be competitive there.
