A couple of good points tooner, but, I do believe nxt gens should be limited to a crate engine, however as I have said in the past, nothing against Stefco, but I believe the track should allow another 1 or 2 local builders be able to freshen this crates. Compatition between a couple of them me lower the present cost of freshening. At present ,for aprox.$400 to $600 more you can own a brand new one.

The only reason more new gens are being built is because they are allowing a horse power motor. In a way it is unfortunate because now its getting to the point, if you want to travel to other tracks, you better have an old body to put on the car or forget about invatationals. I know if the 2 car gos to Varney again he'll have to run with the limiteds. Ed loves running their but why go beat your head off the wall.

it would be sweet if all thunders had crate motors! and new gen bodies! it would almost be like IROC...lol....but i don't see that happening anytime soon as it may be unfair to people to force them to use that engine or body!

Spence, I think they are basicaly just getting in line with the other 4 tracks. Nobody approached us while we were there, I beliieve the call was made to support their home track cars who were upset that he got such a big lead. Although some of us know their isnt many differences between say the 2 car and the 44 car, at the rate tracks are talking, new gens may become orphans.

well maybe they should say now whether the new gens are gonna be the thing of the future or whatever. that way if they are not gonna work out then people will not spend money building something that is useless
