Just had a peek at the weather report. Its callin for a shower tomorrow afternoon but should be good to go by race time!! Only partly cloudy with a temp of 16 degrees and a 30 %POP. Just thought I post that for any cars outside of the Barrie area that might be thinkin of racing. Good to hear Dave Burrows is coming up to run!! That makes another strong car that will be in attendance, and Dave has always been quie pleasureable to talk with in the pits. Hope I at least get a chance to say hello and wish him well at Sunset this year.

The former 4 cylinder 2007 Nascar Champion will be there for sure!!!

Dave Burrows 63x

Wouldn't that make him The Reigning 4 cylinder Nascar Champion??

And a check mark for Johnny Q!!!  I hear rumour of Reigning Kawartha Downs 4 cyl Champ making an appearance in his old mount!! could be a good night

Just a quick run down!!! Somewhere in the neighbourhood of 22-24 cars showed and maybe 150 actual fans. They shortened the field to be one big race and Chargers and Pure Stocks were to run together. Heats went to Sunset's #45x Colt Carcone,#00 Matt Henderson, #10 Doug Butler, and Barrie's own #24 Tom Milligan. For the feature Carcone being top qualifier in the heats, would pull #3 in the inversion draw bringing #63 Brandon Crumbie to the pole with Henderson to start to the outside. Crumbie would jump to the front with Carcone getting under Henderson a couple laps in. On lap 3, Carcone would get inside Crumbie in corner 1 to move to the lead. #35 Chance Isherwood was flying at this point in the race in his last year's Kawartha championship car, progressing from 8th to 3rd. Approaching the midway point Carcone would drift high out of corner 2 , allowing both Crumbie and Isherwood to slide past. Crumbie was running just a shade over 17 sec laps throughout the duration  taking the win by a few car lengths over Isherwood. Sunset's Matt Henderson (CRO's own SLAMMER would finish 3rd), with Barrie's #24 Tom Milligan and Sunset's #10 Doug Butler rounding out the top 5.This feature was run caution free and show was done just before 9pm with 18-20 cars taking part in King of the Hill. That was won by a ultra fast Datsun that was running times comparable to a mid range Thunder Car. Sunset's Carcone would break a rad I think that ended a strong run for him as he looked to have one of the cars to beat on the night. All in all not a bad night of entertainment. There you have it folks ......... from the cheap seats.
