Ok my best 20 min rundown of the nights events. LLM feature won by Garry Reynolds from the pole. #42 Jeff Walt had best Barrie result of 08 with a 2nd from outside pole. Gord Shepherd would charge from 10th in the 18 car field to finish 3rd. McLeod and Lewis would round out the top 5, with Keith getting by with a smooth clean move in 1 on the last lap. Point leader Baker would finish about 7th if I was guessin. Of note was caution free in the LLM and that in itself is a Barrie rarity.LOL Heats to Shepherd, Lewis, McLeod, and Baker. Thunder Car feature won by Flyin Franky, 2nd was Tremblay, 3rd Walt, 4th Melson, and 5th Gribbon. Heats to Davey, Tremblay x2, and Doucette. Of note Doucette would get a black flag in the feature just past lap 20 for getting into St.Onge between 1&2. Pure Stocks it was Tom Milligan capturing his first win in 08, taking the lead from Dave Crumbie who finished 2nd. #25 Darron McMinn would have a solid 3rd, with #50 John Kazhab, and #16 Bryan Penny finishing the fast five. In this race to me it looked like alot of the fast cars got boxed in and were running in 2x2 fashion further back in the pack. Heats to Brandon Crumbie, Ben Melenhorst, Mike Meyer, and #45 Derek Surerus. Charger top 5 was #98 Brent Stieler taking first ever feature win. This was nice to see after he led 34 laps the week prior then secumb to mechanical trouble. 2nd was Burtoo, 3rd Jim McDonald, 4th Desiree Walt, 5th Billy Melenhorst. Heats to Burtoo, McDonald, Melenhorst, and #07 Kurtis Ball. I'm just glad got done before 11 for once. Heading out, so sorry for the sketchy report once again but at least heres a point for the weekly chatter to begin!!!LOL

15 Charger was DQ'd in the tech shed so it would appear that Desiree Walt will be leading the points in that division. Also a great run Darron McMinn finishing 3rd in the "A" division but having trouble in tech and getting DQ'd. The thundercar feature was very eventful. It was great to have the night done early and be home before the crack of dawn.

New Rules at Barrie Speedway

So tonight we learned that Barrie Speedway has a new rule. If your last name is St. Onge you can do whatever you please.

Rule Number 1: You cannot have more power then the 00
Rule Number 2: You cannot have a better handling car then the 00

If you ignore rule numbers 1 & 2 then 00 has the right to put you into the wall. And once he put you into the wall then you are just suppose to bow to him.

Did we dump him, F****en right. But for that we get the black and a 2-week suspension.

No one is allowed to be upset when someone does this to you, and the officials are no help. You are not allowed to speak to them; they do not speak back to you. What exactly is the roll of an official? It must be to just look pretty in the uniforms, cause they definitely do not do anything official.

To top off this after 00 gets into another “accident” with the 97 car and has to take his car down pit row, there is no speed limit for him. I sat there and watched the crew from the 12 car working on the right side of his car have their lives put in danger cause the 00 is so much more important then everyone else. Last weeks conversation on here was about the lack of respect that drives have and I believe that was posted from the 12 car himself and then this week we are given a perfect example of it, at what could have been the cost of his crews safety. Again no response from the track, if it were anyone else that had done that, they would have been given the black flag.

At the beginning of the year we had high hopes that there would have been a lot less BS and favoritism then previous years but ……….it is worse then ever. For weeks we have put up with the disorganization of the track, burnt or uncooked food, the incredible increase in prices (3 times what most other tracks are charging), the rude and snobbish attitudes of some of the new owners who don’t own the track for love of racing but only the colour of our money. Oh and lets not forget the stupidity of having a beer gardens in the pits – that is asking for trouble.

A final thought on this, if we knew we were going to be suspended for this then Dave would have made it worth it.

those rules are stupid haha, but that what eveyone seems to follow around there, im glad i dont race a thunder car. my dad was right behind dave and st.onge and saw it all! i was also standing in the infield and watched st.onge some FLYING in and in my opinion beleskey had EVERY right to yell what he did at st. onge and his crew, that is the reason people get hurt or killed.

the owners and officials, yes you people with OFFICIAL written on your black pants and your shirts need to respect the drivers and their crew and atleast listen and attempt to help them with their concerns.
