No points and no trophies for heats, and I dont think they mean anything toward feature starting position, so what is the point? Will has played dead a few times this year in heats just becouse he didnt want to risk the car with the meat heads around him.
Go back to the old points system, but implement the CHASE format, ive been saying that at every meeting at Sunset and Barrie the last 2 years.
Take the top 5 in points with 5 night left, and put them back to zero, with a 5 point bonus for every feature win. We are already running double file restarts now, so lets do the points like nascar? The racing and crowd would go up a notch, as far as exitment.

I've never liked points systems that were dependent on the number of cars in the race. Make the heats count towards points for sure....but if a heat win is worth 10 points, then its worth 10 points every week...not 8 one week, 7 the next week, 9 the week after.
Having said that, of course you should be paying points for heat wins. Otherwise why would anyone waste the gas/tires?
BTW, I'll third what Thayne said. The guy is going to the trouble of reaching out to the community soliciting feedback so they can make things better. Lots of places don't so that. So appreciate it instead of picking about grammar. I thought it was clear enough.

Well right now as it stands. We will be putting points back into the heat regardless of if this idea.
When it comes to the nightly points on car count. I only even put forth this idea because people that do end up making it up front with a larger field should gain the points for it. Rather then some nights where we could only have 10 cars compared to 15-20 cars.
The Nascar chase for the cup idea is nice but it could be hard to pull off. considering how much rain we deal with each serie. It may turn out that only 2 out of 5 nights actually run. I wouldn't enjoy it if someone won the championship because of rain-outs
As for the pills thing. Each night a driver pulls a number to see where they start for the heats every night, As it is right now they don't count towards the features, I'd like to try this new pill system next year. if you need further explaining.. ask me sometime at the track and I will gladly explain the Idea. top 80% of the field advance with their handicap depending on how they finish in the heats. With this pill system, it'll be Pill + handicap + finishes in the heat
As far as the comment on my spelling and grammar goes, I didn't come on here to get criticized on either. It's quite hard to try and get my point and opinion across without making it overly long as well as finding the proper wording. The average person will hardly read anything if it's overly long... but I'll remember for next time that I should treat this as a exam as if I was in college or something and not the internet. Silly me.
