I would like to update my "old" chassis... with a tin kit, among other things. I'm thinking right now that it is too much work to get my current 1990's CSC chassis to do what I want, moving uprights and bars around and it's better to go with the new gen. My car will make a great spare and Invi car. A tin kit makes it much easier to work on, and better options for exhaust routing, and the new gen bodies are just awesome in the appearence department. The old Montes are getting harder to come by, yes, but you can get a rebody kit for about $1000 from Five Star. The Malibu's like mine are getting harder to find every day. The reality is that the speedway has been promoting this idea for 3 years or so now, and there has been some people who are not running crates in the new gen. So the precendent has been set and not many will run crate in this class if they can run built. I think next year you are going to see more of the new gen, it's about 50/50 right now, and all the advantages of the new gen are going to be exploited by some new cars. This class has come a long way in the past two years and it is going to continue to get faster and more competitive.

One thing I would like to know is there any easier way to get nxt gen bodies. It is so hard to find late model car that are off the road for cheap sitting in driveways. When you call the wreckers they want an arm and leg for parts.
