LOL
well here you are.....Falken Azenis RT615k....price 195-60-14 120.18 plus 5.84 tire tax and HST=142.76 .....and 205-50-15 148.20 plus 5.84 tire tax and HST=174.04....and people were whinning about the yok's....lmao
I understand that everyone has their budget. But when you have guys buying tires that are Late Model equivalent, and putting 4 or 5 grand into their motor, the fun factor starts to leave. Those are the guys that need to go to a higher division.
And where do you get your tires from? Those prices seem awfully high compared to the price that I can get them. And if anyone knows where that car came from, anyone can buy success.. Guys have to build their cars from the ground up, work on them for a few years, then when the driver and the car are ready, then they go for the championship. I get that he is 14 and beating some of the veterans, but you know as well as i know it that the car he was in was a proven car before you bought it.
Also, you and i both know that tires can do a lot to a car. Take a tiger paw tire on any car, go to the track, your sliding all over the place. Slap the yokos on there and you are turning 15 second laps. Same motor, same suspension, same everything other than the tires.
are 50 series tires legal at barrie?
also this site needs a "garbage" section or something along those lines to move threads like this into so they don't clutter the rest.
Well, if you buy a car that runs 15s on it, thats your problem you have to spend extra money, I bought a car with 14s, it came with Azenis Ks on it, and 4 spares....I knew they were gonna make the Azenis mandatory, or at least allow them, NOT the Yokos. Cmon....everyone with 1 bad eye could see that coming down the pipe.
I also had the option to buy Shawns car, or Travis's car, but.....I knew alot of people would hate me for it. Lotta money for a mini stock....and I wanted to keep the class fun, not drive up the price of the class, buy spending boat loads. And ask Travis or Shawn if you dont believe me, I was very close to making a deal on the 39 car.
But then I seen Andres car for sale that night, MINT condition, FAST WINNER....and....CHEAP!! SOLD!!! Thats the way it should be, and even Andre said it, its a mini stock, so he got some cash, I got a car, and everyone is happy.
If you mind your Ps n Qs, look around, and bide your time, you can go racing in a top 5 mini stock, with all spare tires n rims, spare suspension parts for under 3 grand. Shoot, Will Davies won a championship and 4 features for all of 1,800 brown ones. If you have to spen more then that, move up!
