Not to say the 02 or the 39 car are not WORTH that much...I know how much first hand what it cost to build a car like that, they have 2 or 3 times that much into those cars. But, I still dont think it is necissary to spend that on a MINI STOCK. I think thunder cars are on crack wanting 8 or 9 grand for those heavy, old, hunks of unofficiant technology.....thats why I came down a class.

That is really what I was trying to say. The mini stock class is a beginner class, and to go out and have fun. Like I said before, this class is about fun and when some guys have 2 or 3 times more money into their cars than others, that brings the fun factor down because you cannot compete against cars with that much money into them because they are almost a feature winner every night.
Some guys are on crack selling a thunder car for 8 or 9 grand, that will be obsolete in a few years time. If i had the money, would buy a thunder even though they are on crack and move up a division to try it and try and have some more fun.
And like you said about you buying a car with the Azenis on it, that is a perfect example of a car that you can buy for cheap and be a winner. You dont need a 60 compound, 300$ tire to win. I wish I had the car you bought though. It was in good condition and was fast! ;D
Ya Elite, I can see thundercar going down the tubes if thats what your talking about, way over priced. I can see it now, Late Models, Ministock, and JYD. ....as you 3 classes.
I really think that the thunder/street stock class is going to be gone in the next 5 to 10 years... If people want to compete, they will go to late model. If they want fun, they will go to JYD or mini stock. Thunder/Street stocks are dying down all over. Now it is just a matter of time.. :-
