if anyone has ever been to a special event at a race track like this without any issues i would be shocked...anyone else been to a sauble mid week dash for cash.... if you have and live in the barrie area i bet it was 2:30-3:00 am when you got home on a work night.....??? thats just an example not a shot at sauble. most track have issues like this all the time..like diane said its not a perfect world....its racing...so be happy quit bitc*ing it was nice warm night for racing, and if you had to stop at a fast food place on the way home cause you didnt get a cheeseburger.....then that makes at least two of us...it is what it is....

Wow, I thought my alleged "bit##ing was quite tame, I merely asked a few questions and made a few comments.  If you did notice in the start of my post, I did say I often defend the late nights, and yes, I have had many of them, and not once the other night did I every think I was leaving before it was over.  I did however sit near alot of people, most with small children, who didn't share my view, or maybe didn't share my " polite I would hope" method of delivering it.  I don't operate a race track, nor have I ever, so I don't for 1 second claim to be an expert, however, being a member of the military I do get to live in alot of different places (sometimes much to my disappointment lol) and I do get to see quite a few different race tracks.
Could an event like this not start earlier if there is a risk of it running late?  I mean, I had assumed, without unforeseen delays that it was going to be a later than normal night anyway, but why not start at say 4, or 5?  Just a question, and again for those that may miss it, no I am not an expert  lol.
Obviously the reason for the food running out makes sense!

If you note, I did say I enjoyed the night, like I do every time out, and I did say I will be back to Barrie Speedway for every big event this year, without a doubt, and I do appreciate Spencer's call, I here it most every week!  I was just politely asking a few questions, and maybe complaining a little too lol, 23 years in the Army, I think I know how to "politely bi**h"  😉

Just one man's opinion!

Im going to second the 30 minute intro as a waste of time for OSCAAR.  I heard my step dad say once at sunset people were yelling at the drivers to get in their damn cars during an intro session as the show had gone on far to long.

Nobody cares about intros that much, and when the show is entering its 4th hour....it needs to be CUT.  Get on with it.  Parade laps prerace could be cut as well if they cutting into the 7pm starts.

Running out of food no big deal since Diane explained that.  Time to get food was a little much, but......Barrie isnt used to such large crowd as of late, so cut them some slack.

The overall length of the show was long as per a big special.....

1.  Three crashes in a row for OSCAAR heat one.
2.  Ambulance called in and red flag for pits emergency.
3.  Alot of wreckes overall in all 3 classes, alot of guys left their talent at home for that one.

Overall I had great time, alot of friends, good weather, and a great crowd that was needed for Barrie Speedway.

LOL! I should have prefaced that post  to "Green Flag". Your post was fine.
Honestly had OSCAAR told us that they require more time we would have started earlier. We like to go home too! 🙂

Sounds good Dianne! 🙂

Wasn't sure if it was my comments or others that pushed buttons lol, and I do like to hear myself talk, or see myself type, or whatever  lol

Look forward to my next venture north!
