I'm not surprised that noone has said a word about this past Saturday night at Barrie Speedway. The track did an awful job organizing the event for the fans and drivers. 30 minute introduction for Oscaar Mod's? Really? Was that necessary? Then the race was red flagged for another half an hour because somebody fainted in the pits; I'll give the speedway a break on that one. The speedway was completely out of food in the pits and fan side before intermission (8:30 pm) and the races ended at rediculous 1 am in the morning. Missed out on a lot of money there Rick and Diane and pissed a lot of people off in the process. This isn't the first time has this happened at the speedway when I have been there either, Canadian Tire Series...out of food. I will not be back to this track and if Sunset was racing I wouldn't have been there to begin with. Get it together

I have always been one to defend "longer" race nights and as such did kinda avoid delving into this one initially, I mean, I am a die hard race fan(bordering on crazy addicted), so why wouldn't I want more and more racing, its not like I have anywhere else to be at 10 or 11 at night, as a military member teaching in Borden I don't work alot of weekends anyway, and my son who attends with me is not a child,,,,,, however, it was 0130 before I got home, and having sat there from 5 pm until 1 o'clock it was a little INSANE to say the least!  It was also a little disappointing to hike over to the snack bar, relatively early into the night I might add to find out there was not a stitch of food to be had, (my lips and tongue didn't like all the sunflower seeds I had to eat that night to try and make do).  Being a track that hosts an event as big as NCATS, I wonder if perhaps we couldn't be a little more prepared for such a big crowd, I mean, if one had seen the size of the crowd at Sunset for the OSCAAR opener, it might have helped.  It might have been worth taking into consideration that Sunset was not running that night, and weather for Sunday was not looking good, thus many, myself included, would be taking in the only show in town that weekend.
Having ranted and ranted like I have, I wonder too, maybe with a big show like that, an earlier start time might work??

With all that said, I did enjoy the show, like I knew I would, being a die hard fan, however my backside still today isn't quite agreeing with me lol.
I will be back for all major Barrie Speedway events this year, no questions asked, I just hope maybe, the overall experience next time might be just a little bit better, or maybe I'll just bring pillow, blanket, supper, a snack and breakfast!  😉

Just my 7 cents!

First let me apologise for running out of the fries and burgers. A freezer had died and when we opened it to start cooking, we were unsure of the quality and safety so decided to "run out" rather than harm someone.
These choices being taken away from the patrons put added pressure on the other menu items therefore yes, we ran out of the other items. I must add that there were still plenty of hot dogs according to inventory sheets.
We did not run out at the Canadian Tire race, that was other ownership.

Driver introductions were requested by OSCAAR management and Spencer Lewis did the intros (very nicely I might add). If he went too long, I apologise for him. Maybe because this is a new series for OSCAAR they were  trying to let fans know who the players were. Not everyone is as seasoned as you.Either way, they asked and we obliged. (loss of 40 min.) I apologise.

Thanks for giving us the benefitof the doubt on the person that needed extra medical assistance in the pits. That was a Driver's family member. I'm sure you would expect the same for one of your family members but I apologise for Simcoe County Ambulance Service for taking so long to respond (approx 50 min. delay).

I agree with you that the show finished too late but if we had called it, someone woould be posting that they didn't get their moneys worth. Once the ball is rolling you are damned if you do and damned if you don't so for that I apoligise.

This is racing, so I don't have to tell you that crap happens all of the time. All you can do is grin, bare it and try to wade on through.

All that said, in a perfect world we would have been done by 11:30. But racing has taught us that it's not a perfect world and for that I apoligise.
