I think its a great idea to star a street stock class again. I think the recap racing tires should be used they are cheap and good tires and that way everyone is on the same tire. Stock fire walls in stock location no load bolts but with racing springs. Basically the same engine package with stock carb, 2 or 4 barrel

I like to truck idea, it's something different. or why not have a 6 cylinder class like they use to back in the 70's. something different than having two 8 cylinder stock classes. See we already have a starter division with the mini stocks and it's such a big jump in handling and power to do Thunders let alone the expense in running a competitive car. My vote would be the trucks or 6 cylinder. somewhere in between for finances and for power and rules packages.

OK how about 6cyl mini trucks. I'll give up my V8 pipe dream. Mazda, Dodge, Ford, GM, Toyota, Nissan all make/made compact pickups with a 6cyl around 4litres.
But they have to be STOCK< STOCK< STOCK. Let them play with springs but thats it!
I like the recap tires idea.
It puts everyone on the same "footing"(pun)
Junkyard street tires are too inconsistent and an absolute PIA.
These things have to be able to be race ready for cheap.

I got tons of the old Barrie diamond backs in the back yard holding down the pool tarp  😛 lol, and one is actually going with me as a spare for frost fest!!!  8)

20 bucks each!  Those tires and cock roaches are all that will be left after a nucular war, they are awsome tires!
