good idea, but bad idea. Good idea because it gets people into 8 cylinder racing at a  much cheaper price then a Thundercar but bad idea because you will see the Thundercar class dwindle down into nothing the same way the old Challenger class did. I see it working out much better at other tracks. Who knows this may be a great thing to try and bring to Barrie in a few years when the car counts are a bit better, as for immediately, I don't see it doing anything but killing the Thundercar division

it would be good to see more street stock classes come back then we can travel to other tracks...

Has anyone seen the Renegade trucks at P'Boro. They're great, but they're 4 bangers. That gave me the idea. V8 entry level cars are a great idea, but there's no V8 cars to make them out of anymore.  But there's lots of Rangers, S10's Colorado's, Dakota's. Full size trucks are too big. Build these 3200 lbs with a decent cage like an old school Street Stock. And limit them to STOCK 5 liter engines with stock 2 brl and auto trans. Run them on some kind of cheap spec tire and have at it.  Ford 302, Dodge 318, Chev 305 or 307. They would have TONS of them. I'll start building one tomorrow!
Nothing is going to change until one track has the balls to dump late models and make something else top dog.
At my fantasy track, "Enhanced" Thunder cars would be top dog, My V8 S10's would be second and I'd have mini stocks. Then get a different touring series in every week, TQ's, Hurricanes, Legends, OSS, Oscaar, etc. You'd have a great season of racing.
