Sorry guys no time for 20 min rundown just yet but can post results..

The 30 lap LLM finale was the better of the two features with only one early caution, as pole sitter Gaunt outduelled #54 Randy Bull over the initial stages.. Great late race challenge put on by Jongen over the closing 5 laps, when on the last corner he got into the 11 of Gaunt as they both got crossways coming out of turn 4.. Jongen, spun to the infield to avoid totally wrecking Gaunt and lost 2nd place to #8 Dave Lewis in the process, with the "Never Late 28" of Jongen coming across the stripe backwards to hold on to a most memorable 3rd place showing.. Point leader #57 Ron Quesnelle finished 4th, with a visiting #48 Dwayne Baker rounding out the fast five..

Speaking of Quesnelle, he won the first 30 lapper, after surviving a valiant mid race challenge from defending track champion #69 Al "Red Rocket" Inglis, who finished in the runner up spot..The 10 of Shepherd had a bit of a tough night overall I thought, as the car looked off, but he managed a 3rd in this one, as last weeks feature winner #2 "Hometown" Mike Brown and Lewis comprised the remainder of the top 5...

A nice sight to behold was the season high 16 Thunders that came to play, with 5 visiting drivers included in the mix.. Once again it was Belesky making some precision like moves early on to grab the lead around 7-8 laps in.. From there he would record the 30 lap win after fighting off a game #24 Leonard Johnston, taking the win by half straightaway at the finish. Johnston, who finished 2nd for the second week is sucession, looked to have a harder time getting through the lapped traffic in the late going as opposed to "The Prince".. #10 Rick Walt would add to his streak of never finishing worse than 4th this season, with a workmanlike 3rd place performance to round out the podium.. A pair of visiting drivers and former track champions would make their presences felt before the night was over, as #49 "Flyin" Frank Davey and #44 Dave "The Deuce" Doucette would round out the top 5..

Heat wins went to Belesky, Johnston, Walt, and Doucette...

Pure Stock race saw two cautions before we got the first lap in!! ;).. It was a bit of a mess for sure, but did feature a pretty solid green flag run in the middle portion.. For the 5th time this season #02 Shawn Murray brought his Mustang home to victory lane, although 2nd place finisher #26 Ben Melenhorst didnt let him run away in this one, with the distance maybe 2 cars lengths between the two former division champions at the checkered.. The ever improving #91 Andre Pepin would record his first career podium in finishing 3rd, with #27 Gilles Harpin, and #13 Dave "Gipper" Glaze completing the top 5..

Heats went to point leader #39 Travis "The Enforcer" Hallyburton with a pair, Murray, and #09 Dean Curry.. Once again sorry for the shotty rundown, hope to add a bit more later..... FROM THE CHEAP SEATS..

That's good to hear Joe.. Always nice to see a few more Stangs coming to race in our Pure Stock ranks.. As mentioned sometimes their features tend to get a bit ugly (largely due to inexpierienced drivers starting up front in my opinion) but for the most part once the race sorts itself out a bit you see the longer green flag runs with quite a bit of passing both along the inside and outside lines.. Not sure if you know but since you departed our features are now 25 laps instead of the 20 you may of been accustomed to.. just thought I'd mention it!!! 😉

When we were there a little while ago we heard that and we keep in touch with some of the drivers there and they told us the same thing we are looking forward to making the switch and trying to have some fun again. Yeah we're going to miss some friends from SS but are looking forward to racing with some more friends there  😛 ;D
