Congrats to #44 Dave Doucette and #13 "The Gipper" Dave Glaze on there performance at Sauble in the Dash for Cash. One reason why no LLM showed up there in my opinion would be that the rules for Sauble cars are 10:1 compression for there built motors, basically they still are the old Alstar Late models rules. This does not favor any Barrie LLM cars as there built motor rules are 9.6:1, I know that Sauble also has a crate motor program but not sure how many run the crate? and I can't see the crate being able to compete even with a weight break.
If any Sauble cars were to show up at Barrie then they would have to add weight 4 sure, how much weight? TBD by the track themselves.
The DA$H is an INVY meaning HOME TRACK RULES..dont buy the cant compete with 10 to 1 cause there are 9 to 1 competing rather well at Sauble but if your car dont handle at Sauble straight to the back you go
Well its an invitational isnt it?? To me that has always meant and as it states on the Barrie website "home track rules apply." It also states that it is the race teams responsibility to have "extra ballast available"..So for any visiting cars thinking of making the trek that very advice seems simple enough and the best route to go!! Not that the extra weight would be used but have it on hand.. Which leads me to my next question?? Is it common practice for race teams to carry extra lead around if there somewhat of a "travelling car"..??
it is RARE to have extra ballest added at an invy but I have seen it happen when the rules are no where close but this is NOT the case between Barrie and Sauble .....your favorite Track (SUNSET) doesnt add ballast to Sauble cars nor do they give a brake to Barrie cars so what up Davy with the call on here to slow down the very well prepared Sauble cars.......where the Greatest competition lies is where the fastest overall group of cars will come from....every track has a car or 2 that is fast but Sauble has 10 that are fast ..................this is NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK....Does the 12 thunder car really have to work hard each and every week at Barrie to stay on top or is there simply not a big car count to PUSH him.......again I SAY THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK AT BARRIE SPEEDWAY ......When the second place car wants to win he has to step up the program over the first place car or just give in and run second if third is not pushing him.......good car counts make for good competition and Im NOT talkin bout SPENDING CASH to do it.....take what you have and put everything in the right spot and you will be fast..........and hey now that I think of it we spent alot of time chasing that 12 Car of THE PRINCE when it was the 48 in SAUBLE

The now Sunset car of Baker did Quite well with a Crate at Sauble when he was a BARRIE car

It's easy in hindsight to say " well yeah.. what were you thinking taking a knife to a gunfight". Weight rules "can" work, but difficult to manage and setup for invitationals.
For the Reynold's Memorial, should be lots of action and no comparison.
Gee What ya sayin The BARRIE race wont offer the side by side racin that was witnessed at SAUBLE for the Da$h??? .....So if it is a non BARRIE car that is winnin this race are the Barrie "HOMERS" gonna Wreck him? or is this just Grandstand Racers Talkin SMACK Perhaps if it is a former Barrie Guy HE will Be allowed to win ;D ....I shoudnt post this but OH WELL I DID!!!
