The Shootout was never written in stone, it was something he wanted to bring back. I think it was mostly the drivers talking about it. I do know that Sunset would like to do 2 nights bringing down the BSW cars and 2 nights at BSW. The ball is in their court.

A $2200 buget in tires will get you 16 Hoosiers over the season, or 20 Trackmasters.. A difference of 4 tires. Chances are if you are a race team with a $2,200 tire buget, 4 tires isn't going to make that much of a difference to you.

For a $1,000/year tire buget team, its only a difference a 2 tires.

Over the year bad luck or getting lucky is going to push the number of tires you need atleast +-2 anyhow.

On one car Ross we did not use 16 or 20 tires. The Trac-masters last longer. Actually cut tires caused us to replace tires more often then being worn out.

Last longer + cheaper + better tire = racers win in my opinion.

You like the Hoosiers so buy as many as you like. I'll buy my Trac-masters and everyone will be happy.

We attended both Sunset and Barrie meetings that's why we decided to run Humberstone on Sundays. Business dictates working late on Fridays so that kills running Osh  or The Slots . I will be thankfull if i get some of that Saturday work i have been turning down for the last couple yrs so Sunday racing is going to work for us .

for 16 Track masters it is 1520.00 and a $2200 budget would get you 23 Track Masters.
7 tire difference or 680.00 savings.

I think a lot of drivers would like the extra 680 to use on their car or it can buy a lot of beer for pocket nights. haha
