You know last year there were a lot of rainouts, I think the new owners should have put something in place just in case of rainouts this year. This obviously didn't happen, Hopefully they will have some kind of plan in place for rainouts next year if they are still there. Everyone says Sunday races won't fly but you don't know unless you try. Given that I do know some drivers want the 16 valves brought in in the 4 cyl. division, and if they want drivers for next year they need to start listening to what the drivers want and get a game plan for weather or at least give it a try..... I love BSW as well but not the way it is right now. Too much going on on the track and off, some just need there knuckles wrapped or told to leave.
As a fan of racing personally I would love to see both tracks work something out together, but of course that would be beating a dead horse.
I don't know a lot of the Barrie drivers yet as I usually attend Sunset but what I've seen so far has been nothing but class.
For the sake of fans, hopefully both can succeed together but I am welcoming the idea of more Barrie drivers going to Sunset next year. The best of the best is what I want to see every night.
Thanks Barrie guys for coming and putting on a good show. Its always excited when you guys make the trip south for the night!!
Bottom line is to run a track successfully drivers wise you have to understand the drivers mentality and also be willing to hear them out even when you don't like what they are saying. That is where Barrie's problems start, add the idiot directing the racing who doesn't know the first thing about grinding it out in the real world or more importantly racing then things start going downhill really fast.

I don't know if you are entirely correct with your first statement 3. With Mark Dilley running the show at Sunset and his past history with Barrie I can see Sunset applying for NASCAR home track status and then something WILL happen. As has been stated here many times before the two or three years the two tracks worked together in the 70's were good years. Why it fell apart ??? Of course this is all speculation on my part but I think completely plausible.
Thayne I think you know, as I know, the "best" won't be at Barrie.
I think the question becomes then "will Barrie have enough cars to make a class?" I seriously doubt there will be enough Thunder Cars... And that's just my opinion from talking to a few people. Some big changes have to be made to keep people around and they have not been forthcoming. So we have the situation we have now. People are tired, disappointed and looking for something new. Again just my opinion as always...
This time last year People were saying Sunset was done and would have no cars and guess what ?
