Jim I hear ya...and I am sorry to see that you won't be around Barrie next year.

All I was saying is lets cut the BSW guys a bit of slack.  I am sure they are aware that the track could use a little TLC, but every dollar counts and they need to watch every dollar that is being spent.  There is a key difference between spending money and investing money.  I understand Sunset is doing a lot of investing over the next year or so.  If they start making some serious money after that, you will probably see them invest more back into the track.  If they do not start to see a return on their investment, I won't for a second doubt that they will tighten the strings a bit, and so they should.  We all live life the same way.  If any of us are unfortuneate enough to lose our jobs, we cut out the extras, racecars, dinners out, and so on.  Well thats what the BSW guys are up against.  Sure they may have lots of money from other sources and all I can say is thank God they do.  Imagine if they were trying to pull a wage out of the track this year or last.  Their financially stable backgrounds will hopefully be what gives them the ability to ride this one out.  After last year I think everyone said we would never see so many rainouts again in one season.  Imagine if next year is worse?  Lets all just accept the fact that this year was a write-off for everyone, the track, drivers, fans and sponsors.  Instead of bashing the owners lets all put our heads together and try to come up with ideas so that if next year is as poor of a season, we have a back up plan.  You ppl are all intelligent, or at least I think you folks are?  Perhaps I am just being fooled by an online thesaurus and the spell check!  Seriously though, lets try to do our best to keep BSW going...going strong well into the future. You know you want to.

We will be waiting until the drivers meeting and to see where the competition will be next year. We wanna run against the best, wherever the best in simcoe county are is where we will be.

Thayne I think you know, as I know, the "best" won't be at Barrie.

I think the question becomes then "will Barrie have enough cars to make a class?" I seriously doubt there will be enough Thunder Cars... And that's just my opinion from talking to a few people. Some big changes have to be made to keep people around and they have not been forthcoming. So we have the situation we have now. People are tired, disappointed and looking for something new. Again just my opinion as always...

with the bad luck weather wise, as i said i feel for them. i also feel that with this bad luck the owners should be showing everyone that they can overcome this and show us they are strong and willing to stick it out with us all. that is not being done, it's like we are partners in this business. we both need each other but when your partner is giving up ( or seems to be) the smart thing to do is get out! like i said i love barrie speedway and i want nothing more than for it to succeed and i never missed a night or sunday afternoon when the assortment of clowns were running it in the 90's. we felt secure with coates, squirrel, moran and dilley. now i'm starting to feel that the 90's are coming back, hence my mullet.....LOL!
