No sense wasting hard earned money,i'm heading to the track a little farther south. For less money than it would cost me and my family to go to Barrie sat. night , i can take them to the double header weekend sat. and sun. and feed them like kings and still have money for gas on the way home. Makes a lot more sense to me.

Ah see you can always count on a BSW thread to have some action!  I certainly shouldn't be telling others not to bad mouth ppl on the net, but I think a few comments are a little harsh for the BSW owners.  They are having a horrible season thanks to mother nature, something that is entirely out of their control.  I doubt they are turning a profit as of yet this year and perhaps this race is their only chance to make a bit of money, break even, or maybe just not loose as much as they would have if they didnt have the Can Tire Series at the track.  How horrible of them eh!  After spending probably between $1.5-$2Mil or whatever the purchase price was on the track, they actually want to turn a profit!!  Yeah folks thats what business is about.  There isn't a single race car driver at Barrie or any other track that hasn't bitched about the pay outs.  Why?  Because you want to get a return for the hard earned dollars you have spent.  Well so do the track owners except their situation is a little more critical.  I am pretty sure they aren't having fun at the track that a driver does.  Its kinda hard to bragg to your friends about owning a track when the internet is filled with ppl chewing you out.  So whats left?  Money!  If they don't make money, what then?  Do they shut the track down?  Where does that leave us?  We have enough cars for 2 tracks in the Simcoe area, and too many cars for one track.  I am a Nascar memeber so I will take advantage of the deal we are being offered for tickets, but if I wasn't I wouldn't think twice about paying the extra charge for the added value we are getting.  There will probably be a total of 5-6hours of good entertainment.  Even at the highest price of $45 for pit entrance that works out to $9/hour or so.  Below are just a few prices for entertainment to compare.

Canada's Wonderland day pass $32 - Good luck getting 5 hours of entertainment, 7.5 hours in a line-up for 30min of rides.
Santa's Village Adult $27 - Yeah your kid will enjoy it and for 27 buck you can walk around with them taking pictures of them.
7 Min Helicopter Ride, Orlando $40USD - That was a fun 7 min!
1 Hour sight seeing plane ride $150 - Oh yeah, plus one new pair of underwear!
2 Hour paint ball $75 - Yeah it was neat to try.
3 Min Lap dance $20 - You used to be able to swing a double for $30, I guess the week economy has hit the adult entertainers also!
Leaf tickets $House - And these ppl are lined up and never complain about the price.

I guess the Can Tire Series race doesn't look all that bad does it?    

I already said my piece about what I saw as advantages to racing somewhere else. I've been going to Barrie since 1980 and always considered it home. I know Jim P has been trying to work with drivers as of late, but many people remain skeptical...

No matter what, I wouldn't want to see the place go idle or be torn up. But some changes have to come, new ideas, and I hope this occurs. And yes, there are a lot of people who love the place.

I don't want to think that the track would intentionally try to rip the drivers off.  I'd like to think it was an oversight on their part...

And Jimmy they are starting to appreciate the drivers / the show, but it's slow...

Maybe even put the #24 TC driver in for a ride at a Sauble Invitational or something??? Although Leonard is a bit of a "poom poom" and it would likely soil his drawers upon entering a LLM!!LOL All kidding aside, if you guys are headed down south for ANY Kimmel races after the New Year lets hook it up homey, as I wash stock car windows better than anyone..LOL If you agree to all my demands I might even buy you a breaky Stoyan unlike your fav Sunset TC driver!!LOL
