I would like to start by saying that I agree that if you are a Nascar memeber you should get in for the same price as everyone else. NO DOUBLE STANDARD. Now with that said I need to give my 2 cents to the last couple posts.
BIG DOG-Very classy remark - "I would'nt lift my hind leg on the best part of Jimbo Payetta or his race track." Do you really think this distasteful comment was required to get your point across? -"I hope he's broke at the end of the year !!!" This too is such a great statement to make wishing financial ruin on someone. You are a class act sir!!! reminds me of a quote I heard "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
PUPPYDOG-Do you really think anyone would budget a 40-50% rain date for the season ??? Â It would be unrealistic to think that. As for the track being a "tax right off".....your kidding right....the tax advantage would be less than the real dollars he is losing!!! That makes absolutely no sense at all.
Everyone keeps coming on here bashing Barrie Speedway. If you talk about it , its likely because you care about it. If you didnt you wouldnt waste your time right? So here is an idea. Why dont you start a thread that is strictly for the purpose of helping the new owners in their learning curve. Why dont we all give positive ideas and realistic suggestions how to make things better?
because the owners don't give two pinches of coon shit about us "hicks", and that's a fact. if you don't have a $ sign on your forehead, you are a big nothing. i think we have all supported barrie speedway for years, through thick and thin. but lets face it, these guys don't care . the only guy who gave two shits was dave simpson and the geniuses forced him out. i love the track and always will and if new owners come about i will do my damnedest to help them succeed. as for these guys, there is nothing positive to say and starting a forum to suggest ways of helping them is a gigantic waste of time. the day they were introduced to us and they said they were in it for the racing ,not the money i knew we were doomed. unfortunately for the diehard barrie race fans and drivers, you will have to drive a little south next year to see a good show! i wonder if they will chop all the weeds down under the stands before the nascar brass show up this weekend! :-[ :-[
Well Ketchup if I thought for 2 minutes the owners cared enough to listen to what fans, but mostly drivers were saying, they might have a shot. They don't have the time or even want to listen. Dave Simpson gave a damn, but he is gone. He took the time to listen what some where saying, he wouldn't listen to the screaming but he listened if you had something reasonable to say. He had great ideas for the track, but it came down to money, and now he's gone. I am sure they have a computer and come on here from time to time to read what drivers and fans are saying but nothing changes.... if you think they will listen then you start the thread and let see how far it goes or how much they will listen...... jmo
Ketchup never mind starting a new thread for those donkeys, just carve it on a tomb stone as there dead in the water at the end of this year, I guarantee it !!!
