OK Broadway.
The NASCAR tracks for this season from what I heard anyone willing to put out the money could get a race. It was about the money as I heard. Cayuga I think paid the most for 2 races 75,000 each and I think Barrie paid 40,000 a race.
Hey I'm Knocking The tracks or Nascar to be clear. Nascar is a business and businesses want to make money.
Your point could be valid maybe it is all about the money and thats why we see new owners at Barrie, but certain tracks like Peterborough who wanted the CTS race and historically always supported the series were left out in the cold and Sauble went on record on the radio and even had a petition in the local Canadian tire stores asking for a Nascar CTS race.So ultimately you have to also fit. B.T.W. Congratulations to C.R.O because this is where we heard it first.
There were rumours Wednesday ngiht that one of the owners ahd been bought out, but this is much different than those rumours. Kudos CRO!
way too much invested in the track to be a subdivision. Just spoke to one of the new owners who will remain nameless at this time the plans for both the drivers and speedway are awsome, the drivers will see some awsome new things coming that will be like no other track, lets give some credit here the speedway is on a roll and it looks like its going to continue. Its great for all us who love racing we will have the best track around.
IMHO we already do have the best track around, but IF this is the real deal, and IF the new ownership group understands the business already, or makes the effort to understand it, this is indeed great news.
And through the efforts of the current Management and staff it is the best facility around. Sure the drivers, crews and fans have something to do with it too, but the people really are the show, if you have THE place to race, then people get on board and become passionate. I have spoken before about the what I think are the "golden years" of Barrie Speedway, and you know what, we may be entering a new era that people will one day see the same as I see the late '70's and early '80's now. We will have to wait and see, but this is a positive development. There are some short tracks in the US that are simply amazing... maybe our track will have a similar reputation and stature in the racing community.
Well said Thunder 6. I'm in.

I think that is the goal Tex. I mean if we have members of short track racing in thestates sayign that they want to come to BSW to tryi it one time then this in fact is great. I think for that to happen though we would have top go to late models...
very true Kevin. Amen brother!!! I heard you got yourself a motor and that you'll be running against my dad!!! that's awesome buddy! Hope your still able to come down tonight!! If so see ya then.
I hope that if the track has changed hands that we will be told tomorrow night in the drivers meetings. It would be good to know whether it is true or whether something was in the works or whether it is just a big rumour and Steve and Brad are the ones investing more money into the track! Just because something is being done out there doesn't mean that it is sold or being sold. They could be just doing some renovations for the sake of making the place look better! just a thought
