Remember Sunset starts early at the beginning of the season and Barrie always starts at 7pm... That is a fact.

Ah yes it's raining so now starts the debate on which track is better.... both tracks have there good points and bad points.... lets face it no track is perfect. However given that, and the fact that this season is shaping up to be like last season with all the rain, Barrie, Sunset, Varney, Sauble, any track, they all need to start thinking of ways to make up races for their drivers. You guys pay good money for you season, and you expect to get your money's worth. The fans look forward to racing every week, and if they can't get a good fix of it they will start to look for other things to fill up their time and use up their money.... rain dates should be popping up on these tracks websites every time it happens. Drivers will have something to look forward to and so will the fans.... Just my opinion......

Prior to the season starting we registered at Barrie when Sunset was still under Wes Goodes reign of terror .  After Goode went bust and the new owners of Sunset came in with Dilley managing we went to the drivers meeting Mark held at the track and he won us over like several other Barrie cars . I like a top driver running the track and the perspective he brings in making decisions . Sunsets pre determind  ( sunday) rain out make up dates are a great idea but there is only so much any promotor can do . With all Sunsets improvements so far this year and many more to come it would seem to be a track on the rise while Barrie's ownership laissez faire management style seems to have it on a decline .

Once again a thread takes this ugly turn.

I have to admit I am happy racing at Sunset and excited about the future but having said that I am not so sure I want our track to be the best, better than or put another track into the ground. We all know they won't be building any new tracks.

I think it is awesome to be racing in Simcoe County with 2 tracks within such a short drive and both surviving. Ultimately what would be the best situation is both tracks running full car counts and full stands and agreeing on mutual invitationals or some sort of shootout like they did in the past.

I feel that it would be better for both tracks that we both prosper and not feel smug about your home track and wish ill on the other.

Great points Harold!!! However I'm not sure the two tracks will be racing in conjunction anytime soon.. Sad to say but very true
