I agree with Thayne, gotta take a chance once in awhile to let the fans and drivers know there IS a chance if you come to our track.  In other words, YOU MISS 100 PERCENT OF THE SHOTS YOU NEVER TAKE.

Thayne...The weather whisperer ;D

I see an opportunity for Thayne and Evan here. Thayne was right on the money for Delaware last Saturday.

I actually feel for the BSW management on this one. Their option of checking a weather forecast is likely limited to the internet or latest radio update. If they had tried to run the evening program, to a virtually empty grandstand, when they are already suffering gate wise, it would have just been a setback to the people writing the cheques. As noted ,all area tracks had already cancelled their events. BSW made the right call on this one. I worked in persistant drizzle in Collingwood last evening.

I agree that Barrie made the correct call this week. Yes, the rain had largely ended by evening, but there were areas of drizzle that do not always show on the EC Doppler image and drizzle was predicted. No, I don't work for EC or the Weather Channel either, I just pay attention to it. 🙂 Earlier in the afternoon I stepped out my door in Allandale and it was drizzling quite noticeably, but the radar image I'd just looked at online showed nothing in the area at that time. As well, the significant amount of rain that fell overnight and all morning would have made for more trouble than it'd been worth for most tracks. Mud Bogging anyone??!! And that's just the parking lot!! Also, I've now got a real good reason to go to Barrie next Sat nite with the addition of the LM's to the TQ show. The counts will be what they will be. It'll still be a good one.
Took a chance on Mosport today and it turned out beautiful and I've got the sun kissed neck to prove it! Cloudy all the way down but the weather folks were right on with this mornings call for that area, cloud giving way to sun.
Congrats JR! A great drive!!
