Brian Thomas announced as Race Director
Barrie Speedway is very pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Thomas as Race Director.

"We're thrilled to have Brian joining the team here at Barrie Speedway. Brian brings with him a wealth of experience from some of the top series and tracks in the province", says Barrie Speedway’s Dave Simpson.

Experience indeed. Thomas was National Technical Director for CASCAR for seven years and Tech Inspector at Delaware Speedway for over two decades. As well, he’s been Technical and Race Director for both the Cummins Pro Truck Series at Autodrome St. Eustache and the CARQUEST Sportsman Series.

Barrie race teams can look forward to meeting Brian at he upcoming drivers meetings, Sunday December 2nd at the Barrie Golf and Country Club.

I think by the sounds of the guy and his race experience, he will be great for the job

Since he was tech inspector at Delaware for 2 decades maybe some of the Delaware boys have some input on him. I would think Shadowracer would know?

Brian is a good guy to get along with. He doesn't pick favorites and is not influenced by other people. His rules are usually black and white. If your legal great,If your not, he will not hesitate to DQ you on the spot.
